Pali was born in a remote village in Myanmar. In awe of the Burmese people and their traditional weaving methods, mother-daughter duo Cass and Maggie's collaboration began.
The Pali girls have since been working closely with their local guide and interpreter, who has enabled them to interact and trade directly and ethically with the villagers to bring their craft to the world.
Cass and Maggie are the designers of colour palettes, new styles and seasonal ranges, and the weavers bring these ideas to reality using a combination of new, reused and recycled pallet strapping.
Pali is a social enterprise with a sustainable focus, that economically empowers artisans in rural villages where development opportunities have been limited due to social and political restrictions. Pali baskets are available in four different styles and seven sizes. Each basket is unique as they are individually handwoven in endless colours, a true kaleidoscope of colour.
