Sydney designer Jane Slicer-Smith offers her amazing Signatur Handknits range as ready to wear or made to measure finished garments, and as knitting kits. Jane works primarily in Australian wool and her eye for detail and love of colour is evident within each design. Though rarely without knitting and yarn in her hands, Jane is supported by a small team of hand knitters in NSW and Victoria who create her ready to wear range.
Every Signatur design is also available as a knitting kit complete with yarn, instructions and handmade buttons, just like her finished garments. The big bonus for knitters is the opportunity to try a garment on before you knit it, allowing Jane to customise your knitting instructions for the perfect fit. Designs range from cropped jackets and 3/4 length swingcoats to cardi-coats, wraps and hats. Jane's design ethic is about taking traditional stitches and adding unexpected finishes to hemlines, collars and cuffs, in sizes to fit every body.
