George is a Melbourne based artist who is inspired by slugs.
She uses ink, watercolour and clay to create bright and expressive slug characters that explore the feeling of being sad but happy and finding silliness in the mundane.
George's ceramic works are sculpted and painted by hand making each slug unique. Her bright and energetic paintings show the adventures of her slugs and their friends.
Why slugs? After observing the slippery journey of slugs throughout her home, with no clear start, end or destination, George felt a connection. She knew there was a world of characters to create. George's slugs make great friends, gifts, displays and objects to cry to when you're having a bad day.
