Mazdevallia is the work of artist and jewellery maker Maylin Evanochko. Originally a painter of large scale abstract works, in 2017 she began making jewellery in her then Melbourne-based studio. Meticulously handcrafted components are assembled into eclectic earrings, each pair considered a miniature work of art. In 2019 she returned home to Adelaide and since then has been creating the Mazdevallia Jewellery range in her home studio with a small production team.
The Mazdevallia jewellery range consists of over 40 original statement earring styles designed by Maylin Evanochko. Each pair of earrings is created from a selection of over 150 different handcrafted and hand painted components that are made here in the Adelaide studio. The range of earrings incorporates the use of sustainable materials such as cork leather and Pinatex where possible.
